With the Toledo “Hen House” just a two-minute walk from River West Town Homes, we are sure you’ll want to consider taking in a few games during the season. There’s nothing better than hearing the crowds cheering for their favorite team or watching the fireworks after a game from your rooftop.

 

 

 

Erie Street Market:

Located in downtown Toledo’s historic warehouse district, the Erie Street Market blends rich tradition with modern convenience, attracting thousands of shoppers and diners downtown each week. Stroll through the Market and enjoy ethnic cuisine, fresh meats, fish, cheeses, baked goods and desserts. St. Clair Village Shops:

Toledo’s The Warehouse district opened River West’s newest neighborhood shops recently. Less than a stone’s throw away, Downtown Latte will send your taste buds reeling with its fantastic array of coffees. There is also a new hardware shop and a new Jazz Joint is currently under construction. All are located so close it’s almost like having them inside your own community.

 

 

 

Owens Corning Nature Walk:

It’s in your own backyard, and its HUGE. The Owens Nature Walk is open to the public, so why not take a stroll along the Maumee River, take in the amazing sites and enjoy this stunning area?

 

 

 

  Toledo Museum of Art:

Just a mere mile away, one of the world’s finest museums awaits. Located on Monroe St, the museum features a world-renowned glass exhibit as well as some of the most famous paintings, prints, sculptures and furniture in the world. From mummies to Matisse, a visit to the museum will thrill and excite the artist in you. Admission is free at all times, so take some time to indulge your senses.

 

 

COSI Children’s Museum:

Located on Summit St., just a short walk away, this hands-on science center will thrill the child in everyone. During this “brainy” visit, you’ll enjoy exciting learning experiences in a wide variety of larger-than-life exhibits.

 

 

 

Spaghetti Warehouse:

Feel like Italian? Why not try one of the best Italian restaurants the city has to offer? Located at 42 South Superior, the “million dollar” atmosphere, complete with dine-in rail car and beautiful antiques, will excite the senses as much as the food tingles your taste buds.

 

 

 

Valentine Theatre:

Following a $28 million renovation, the 108-year-old Valentine Theatre reopened in 1999 and has been the cultural center for northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan ever since. National and international entertainers, as well as a wide variety of shows and presentations come to the Valentine. Be sure to sign up for their newsletter and take in a show or two.

 

 

  Bronze Boar:

Feel like a late-night drink? The Bronze Boar, located in the historic Warehouse District on Huron St. is sure to please. Once a livery stable and later an ice company, many of the historic elements of the building were preserved for just the right ambience as you sip that relaxing glass of wine. Be sure to check out the owner’s prized bronze boar at the entrance and the beautiful glass balusters on the staircase.
